Q: What is the priority point system?
A: The Priority point system is used to reward loyal supporters of Mississippi State Athletics while allowing new donors to acquire appropriate seating and parking benefits in recognition of their support.  The point system utilizes five different factors to calculate membership rank: current annual giving, number of consecutive years of contributing, cumulative contributions, season ticket purchases during previous year and m-club alumni membership. Please see the priority points page for more information.
Q: How does the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 impact my Bulldog Club donation?
A: Please take note that The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 changed federal tax law as it relates to the deductibility of contributions to organizations like The Bulldog Club.  For all donations beginning in 2018, no federal income tax deduction is allowed if, as a result of a contribution, the donor receives (directly or indirectly) the right purchase tickets for seating at an on campus athletic event.  Under this new law, contributions required to purchase season tickets (required seat donations) are no longer tax deductible.  Our current understanding is that any other contribution for which a donor receives priority points in The Bulldog Club priority points system will also be nondeductible. In light of this change, The Bulldog Club wants all donors to be aware of  the option to decline priority points for a donation that is not related to required seat donations. If you would like to decline priority points for any donation made above and beyond your required seat donation, it is your responsibility to notify The Bulldog Club by filling out and submitting the Bulldog Club Priority Points Waiver Form (PDF) or by contacting our office. Unless we are advised of an intention to decline priority points for a donation, we will process the payment and recognize priority points in accordance with current priority points policy.
Q: What is the best way to increase my Priority Point standing?
A: Increasing your annual gift amount is the best way to increase your Priority Point standing. Please see the priority points page for more information on how to increase your standing.
Q: Why is it beneficial to become a donor when trying to get season tickets?
A: Demand for benefits such as tickets and parking passes created the need for a system to be established in which these benefits could be distributed fairly. The priority point system allows us to track support and award benefits as a way to say thank you for the support.
Q: Do I have to pay a donation every year to retain my priority seats?
A: Yes.  All football, basketball, and baseball priority seating require an annual seat donation each year to retain the same seats.
Q: Are the donations for football, basketball, and baseball seating the same?
A: No, football, basketball, and baseball required seating donations vary depending on seat location.
Q: What is the deadline for making an annual gift?
A: Remember to make your gift to the Bulldog Club by December 31st to ensure your account remains active.
Q: What if I don’t know my Dog Tag log-in information?
A: If you need help logging in to you Dog Tag account, please visit the Dog Tag Login Questions page.
